“If you see it you can be it”

Aims:

  1. For all women in leadership in a Baptist church to gather together and show a path forward to grow in their gifting and share their current story.
  2. A place to bring budding women leaders, “If you can see it you can be it”
  3. A safe place to share, encourage and pray for one another.
  4. To share ideas and resources that will grow each other.

How to Organise a Baptist Women Leaders Cluster

  1. Begin to make connections by discussing it with other Baptist women leaders. You can also create a facebook page (follow this link to see the existing Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/baptistwomenscluster/ ) and invite women leaders on to it and ask them to invite others.
  2. When there is some interest make a date at a local café so it has no particularly church ownership. Try and find a separate room so you can hear each other and have a safe space.
  3. Start with whakawhanaungatanga around coffee and food.
  4. Go around the group and share some of your story. What has been a joy this year? What has been a challenge?
  5. Smaller group discussion if appropriate
  6. Gather in the large group to pray for each other or if too large go smaller.
  7. Make the next time to meet (monthly or bimonthly) and then discuss what you will do next. One idea is to review a book on women in leadership together.
